She holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Oberlin College, a master’s degree in English from the University of Iowa, and a certificate in content marketing from The Content Marketing Institute.
An entrepreneur at heart, Joan ran her own communications firm for 16 years. In her downtime, she pursues her own creative work as a novelist and poet.
