As one of the oldest and largest graduate schools devoted exclusively to the study and application of psychology and related behavioral sciences, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (The Chicago School) wanted to develop new programs in Washington, D.C., and grow enrollment at existing locations in Chicago and Los Angeles. The Chicago School required data-rich research to inform its decisions.
Stamats analyzed all the competing programs in the Washington, D.C., catchment area; tracked enrollment trends; investigated employment forecasests; integrated secondary data; and identified the specific programs that were in short supply and that matched the Chicago Schools strengths and proven successes in other markets. Stamats also conducted a comprehensive Tuition Pricing Elasticity Study™ and a more traditional market assessment for The Chicago School’s Orange County campus.
The ground-breaking, thorough research in the Washington, D.C. area has allowed The Chicago School to position itself well, with in-demand programs (e.g., forensic psychology) delivered in the preferred format (part-time or reduced-load). Combined with The Chicago School’s academic priorities and internal knowledge, this expanded, external data set gives the school a solid foundation for continued success in all markets.
