Increase in Requests for Information

The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is a small public institution with two campuses near Hilton Head Island. While many students and their parents had heard of USCB, their perceptions were characterized by limiting terms such as its reputation as a cheap and easy tech school or junior college. 

Few were aware of the university’s impressive academic offerings, astounding value as South Carolina’s most affordable four-year institution, and the achievements of its alumni. That’s where Stamats stepped in. 

Our team began by visiting both campuses to meet with students, faculty, staff, and administration. What followed was a powerful new admissions campaign and tagline, “Powerful Futures. Discovered. This reflects the profound opportunities USCB affords its students.  

Building from our communication sequence mapping process, Stamats produced on-brand content from a series of publications. We also created new advertisements, banners, billboards, emails, and a revised newsletter template.  

Though the project’s centerpiece was a new responsive admissions website, the university was so pleased with our work that they asked us to create a responsive institutional website as well. 

The UCSB Office of Admissions reports that requests for information have tripled, attracting more students into the funnel at an earlier stage.  

Stamats’ engagement with the university has helped to secure enthusiastic internal buy-in, paving the way for collaboration in other campuswide endeavors.
