Ron Mahurin

Ron’s higher education experience spans nearly 30 years of across administration, leadership, and college-level teaching.

Prior to Stamats, Ron was vice president for professional development and research at The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). He also served as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College at Houghton College (NY) and worked previously at Westmont College (CA) and Gordon College (MA) in the areas of advancement, alumni relations, corporate and foundation relations, and as a faculty member in political science.

Ron has served as a consultant in the areas of strategic planning, mission clarification, academic assessment, and professional development and research. He is also a frequent presenter at CCCU, The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), and other regional higher education association groups. Ron is a graduate of Gordon College (MA), and earned his Ph.D. in political science from Miami University (OH).
