Cedar Rapids, IA, February 27, 2016—Stamats continues its tradition of award-winning creative and brand development work as evidenced by the Best of Show prize in the Integrated Advertising Campaign category handed out at the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City chapter of the American Advertising Federation’s 48th annual American Advertising Awards on February 27.
Stamats’ winning “We Will” campaign was created for the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. The Stamats team worked with the University of Texas System during the planning, preparation and launch of this new university, which welcomed 29,000 students in September 2015. According to Stamats Director of Content Strategy, Joan Benson, the visual identity and brand platform were developed first, then the brand was brought to life through publications, video, web, social media and advertising. UTRGV will welcome their first class of medical students this year.
“This Advertising Federation Best of Show award recognizes how Stamats is helping colleges and universities reach new heights in higher education marketing,” says Stamats President and CEO Guy Wendler.
In addition, the “We Will” campaign received the award for Best of Category and two Gold awards. According to the AAF, Gold is in recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged as superior to all other entries in the category.
Stamats also brought home seven Silver awards.
