We were the first company to explore how integrated marketing communications could be adapted to higher education. But we didn’t stop there. We’re always looking inside and outside higher ed for concepts and ideas we believe our clients would value, and we enjoy providing fresh, creative thinking on critical issues and sharing those insights with others in the profession.
A Storied History
Stamats started as a promotion and advertising agency for Midwest retail stores in 1923. Ten years later, it expanded to include a national magazine. In the 1940s, the company integrated a printing operation, and a few years later, Stamats, Inc. began offering creative services. Colleges and universities that sought high-quality admissions publications began to take notice, and we soon found our niche serving the needs of higher education institutions across the country, a specialization that continues today.
Each year, we work with 100+ colleges and universities. Our clients, many of whom have been with us for 10, 15, and even 20 years, range from community colleges to elite liberal arts colleges to major universities. In addition to our undergraduate clients, we work with business schools, medical schools, law schools, and other graduate programs. We also assist schools with their adult, distance, and continuing education programs as well as with their international enrollment and marketing initiatives in India and elsewhere across Asia.
