Stamats Business Media Publications Win Folio Show Awards

Three Stamats Business Media publications have won four Eddie & Ozzie Awards, rising to the top from among more than 1,000 finalists in 33 categories that celebrate excellence in journalism across all sectors of publishing in print and digital media.

Meetings Today, BUILDINGS and i+s were recognized Oct. 30 during the 2019 Folio: Show awards ceremony in New York, winning all four categories they were finalists in:

• Website, B2B General: MeetingsToday.com for its recent redesign
• Full Issue, B2B Travel/Transportation: Meetings Today, October 2018, which looked at the #MeToo movement and how it impacts the meetings industry
• Immersive/Interactive Storytelling, B2B/Consumer: BUILDINGS, Active Shooter Drills: An Eye-Opening Encounter, with a first-person article and podcast by editor Janelle Penny about what it was like to go through an active shooter drill at Stamats’ Cedar Rapids office, and accompanying video from the drill
• Single article, B2B Architecture & Design: i+s, Inside the New Sandy Hook, an article by Penny looking at the new elementary school and how it integrated security and safety into its design

Penny, who represented Stamats at the Folio: Show awards ceremony, called the event inspiring.
