With a B.A. in English, an M.A. in linguistics, and a second M.A. in media studies, Vinu has spent much of his adult life in and around institutions of higher education, and has lived and worked in cities ranging from Chennai and New Delhi in India; to Montreal, Canada; to Iowa City, Iowa. As our international higher education consultant, he currently heads the Stamats Asia initiative, assisting clients with their marketing initiatives in India and elsewhere in Asia. In addition, he continues to serve as a creative strategist and writer, drawing on more than 20 years of experience as a marketing and advertising professional, interactive content specialist, journalist, academic, and literary writer. In his former role as director of creative strategy at Stamats, Vinu helped shape creative direction working with teams to develop and implement integrated, results-oriented creative strategies for clients across different media channels. His admissions and advancement work with more than 75 colleges and universities across North America has attracted regional and national attention and earned numerous ADDY® and Higher Education Marketing Report Best of Show, Gold, and Silver awards. Prior to joining Stamats in 2003, Vinu worked with McCann Erickson, India (serving such clients as Florsheim, Thomson Electronics, and Coca Cola), and as a marketing writer with Matrox Graphics Inc., Canada.
