We would like to welcome Dr. Ronald (Ron) P. Mahurin to the Stamats team as associate vice president of planning.
Ron brings nearly 30 years of experience in higher education administration, leadership, and college-level teaching to the Stamats team.
Prior to Stamats, Ron was vice president for professional development and research at The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU). He also served as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College at Houghton College (NY) and worked previously at Westmont College (CA) and Gordon College (MA) in the areas of advancement, alumni relations, corporate and foundation relations, and a faculty member in political science.
Ron has served as a consultant in the areas of strategic planning, mission clarification, academic assessment, and professional development and research. He is also a frequent presenter at CCCU, The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), and other regional higher education association groups.
Ron is a graduate of Gordon College (MA), and earned his Ph.D. in political science from Miami University (OH). He resides in Silver Spring, MD. Ron and his spouse Jerilyn have two daughters who are graduates of Eastern University (PA) and Biola University (CA).

Sevier, senior vice president, strategy at Stamats, will be at the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) meeting in Washington, DC on February 3–5.
