STAMATS: Higher Education Marketing

forgotten enrollment streams

retention & transfers

July 23, 2009 from 1:30–3:00 p.m. (Central Time)

Bob Sevier
Presented by: Bob Sevier
Senior Vice President, Strategy and
Scannell & Kurz

Too much attention, in the media, on campus, in guidance offices, and at most professional admissions conferences, is focused on the transition of the traditional high school graduate to freshman year of college. Too often forgotten are the challenges and opportunities related to the transition of transfer students and the retention of currently enrolled students. This Webinar first will explore the steps necessary to launch a successful transfer relationship marketing, communication, and recruitment outreach campaign to build demand from community college graduates. Second, we will discuss how to conduct retention research in order to develop targeted intervention strategies, policy changes, and support programs to improve re-enrollment results. These two key student markets will only grow in importance as the economy challenges families’ ability to pay for a college education and the competition for students continues to increase.

Key learning objectives:

    • Gaining an appreciation and understanding of how to build demand (recruit) and enroll transfer students
    • Learning how to use data to identify at-risk populations and understand what academic and student life programs are effective in improving retention
    • Understanding how to manage these two critical enrollment streams to meet overall enrollment objectives, especially net tuition revenue

Buy on demand today! This is one Webinar you won't want to miss.
