Matt ArnoldMatt Arnold is director of interactive media strategy at Stamats. He holds a B.A. from The University of Iowa in Communication Studies and an M.S. in Communication from Illinois State University. Matt has over 15 years professional experience in market research, enterprise technology, interactive strategy, and user experience. For over six years, Matt led communication strategy and managed the online experience at Capella University. Outside of his university experience Matt has successfully led interactive and technology projects for leading organizations, including the National Marrow Donor Program, Medtronic, UnitedHealth, Allstate, and Discover Card. Prior to joining Stamats, Matt was an online channel manager for Best Buy.

 

 


Pete BerolPete Berol is a member of the management team at Eastern University. He serves as the Director of Strategic Alliances for the Campolo College of Graduate and Professional Studies as well as the past Director of the Master of Science in Non Profit Management program. In addition to his duties at Eastern University, he serves as President of Red Stone Management Systems, Inc, a consultancy focused on the needs of non profits. RSMS offers a variety of customized, mission-centered, organizational solutions.

 

At Eastern’s Campolo School of Graduate and Professional Studies he is a respected member of the faculty in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. He teaches courses in business and leadership with a particular focus on marketing and management excellence in the context of corporate social responsibility.

 

 


Ann BezbatchenckoAnn Bezbatchencko is director of graduate and professional enrollment management at Loyola University Chicago (LUC). She oversees the recruitment and application process for more than 150 programs within LUC’s seven graduate and professional schools. Her efforts have contributed to consistent growth of LUC’s graduate student population and to the largest enrollment of graduate students in the university’s history. Her extensive higher education and corporate experiences also include nine years in graduate recruitment and admissions, including six years at LUC, as well as customer service and communications positions at Limited Brands, McGraw-Hill Companies and The Catholic University of America. Ann holds a B.A. in English from University of Dayton and an M.A. in English and Irish Literature from The Catholic University of America.

 


CJ CunniffCJ Cunniff is director of interactive media production at Stamats and has more than ten years of experience as a programmer in the interactive media field. His specialties include Internet systems, JavaScript/XML programming, JQUERY, MOOTOOLS, AJAX and Flash Development. His experience working in other markets including medical, small business and government sites, and customer relationship management Intranet sites help inform the work he completes with higher education clients. He has extensive experience in all facets of interactive marketing and technology and brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to his position at Stamats.

 

 


Sabra FialaSabra Fiala is strategic marketing director at Stamats. Her range of experience from front-end marketing to interactive implementation to fulfillment provides a solid foundation of knowledge necessary to provide strategic counsel to clients. She also has extensive experience in developing lead generation programs, fulfillment processes, and response tracking. Sabra joined Stamats with nearly a decade of interactive direct marketing experience. Prior to arriving at Stamats, she worked in the advertising industry specializing in integrated direct marketing programs complemented by the Web and e-mail marketing. Sabra is an active member of various marketing organizations, including the Direct Marketing Association.

 

 


Todd GibbyTodd Gibby, is CEO and president of Intelliworks. He brings a rare combination of business experience and higher education technology expertise to Intelliworks. Under Todd’s leadership, Intelliworks has emerged as a player to watch in the relationship management for higher education space. Todd has established Intelliworks as an industry thought leader, to ensuring clients’ success with our solutions, and to building a world-class team of cohesive professionals. Prior to Intelliworks, Todd served as executive vice president of operations for another higher education technology company, Blackboard. In seven years at Blackboard, Todd held several key executive roles across the company's operations and sales departments and helped grow the company from $2 million in revenue to over $180 million.

 

 

Shirley GreeneDr. Shirley Greene is a higher education professional who offers more than 15 years of combined administrative, teaching, and research experience related to student development. Currently she holds the position of Assistant Director of Admissions at Harvard University, where she is directly responsible for developing diversity recruitment strategies and initiatives for underrepresented minorities.

 

 

 

 

Patricia Harris-JacksonPatricia Harris-Jackson is a graduate admission professional whose experience runs the gamut from marketing, recruiting, event coordination, project management, and strategic planning. She is currently the Associate Director of Admission for the Office of Graduate & Adult Enrollment at Marist College located in Poughkeepsie, NY. Patricia plays an active role in researching, designing, and implementing recruitment strategies to help expand the college’s visibility and ensure that enrollment targets are met.  She assists with identification and research of trends and changes in the larger market as well as niche markets within the graduate enrollment field. Patricia participates on selected committees/task forces inside and outside of the department and works collaboratively with admissions team, academic departments, and larger organization to fully utilize synergies.

 

 

 


Brenda HarmsDr. Brenda Harms, principal consultant at Stamats, is an experienced higher education administrator with a diverse marketing and admissions background. Her primary interest is the recruitment and retention of adult students and she leads the Stamats’ adult student marketing initiative. Dr. Harms is active in the higher education community, serving as the secretary/treasurer of the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators executive committee. Dr. Harms received a B.S. in allied health and an M.A. in educational psychology and counseling from the University of South Dakota. She received her Ph D. in human services with her dissertation focused specifically on adult student retention.

 

 

 

Kari Kovar Kari Kovar is a regional director of business development at Datamark, a leader of data-driven marketing for education. She received a B.A. in Public Relations from The University of North Dakota and is currently completing her MBA in Marketing at the University of Iowa. Kari has over ten years of professional experience in higher education marketing and has provided her strategic insight and consulting services for nearly one hundred colleges and universities across the country. She has directly addressed the marketing challenges faced by public and private colleges and universities, and has a unique understanding of the factors that are most influential to a school’s success in today’s competitive marketplace. Because of her extensive background, Kari has become a sought after speaker and has been featured at several national conferences.

 

 

Kathy KurzKathy Kurz serves as vice president of Scannell and Kurz, Inc., an enrollment management consulting firm. Kathy’s special area of expertise is in developing strategic financial aid and retention programs, designed to enhance enrollment and net tuition revenue results. A former Associate Vice President at the University of Rochester and Director of Financial Aid at Earlham College, she pays special attention to ensuring that the solutions recommended are practical, detailed, and implementable. Kathy contributes regularly to University Business, authored a chapter entitled The Changing Role of Financial Aid and Enrollment Management in New Directions for Student Services, a Jossey-Bass publication, and speaks at national conferences and seminars such as NACUBO, Academic Impressions, and CIC.

 

 

Deb MaueDeb Maue joined DePaul University in September, 2005. In her current role as Associate Vice President for University Marketing, she is the primary developer and driver of the university's strategic marketing plan, with responsibility for elevating DePaul's position and prominence with key audiences. She is responsible for the DePaul University brand, serving as the brand steward across marketing initiatives that support the evolution and ownership of the university brand, leads university and enrollment marketing campaigns and programs, leads strategic planning and analysis efforts, and spearheads innovation, including supporting the colleges in new program development and leading efforts to leverage new marketing tools and techniques across the university./p>

 

 

Fritz McDonald Fritz McDonald, has more than 20 years experience as a professional writer, editor, and creative strategist. He earned his bachelor’s degree at UCLA, and an M.F.A. from the University of Iowa Writer’s Workshop. At Stamats, Fritz has created marketing communications, Web sites and digital strategy, and branding programs for colleges and universities across the U.S. He has an extensive background in Web 2.0 technologies and social media and has delivered webinars on the subject and written an industry-leading white paper on social networking strategies. He has been a keynote speaker for CASE, CCAE, and ACT, and presented at such well-known conferences as the Infinite Solutions HighEd Web conference. He has written articles on higher education marketing for Admissions Marketing Report, and on social media most recently for University Business. His creative work has garnished numerous awards, including a CASE Gold Regional, more than 40 ADDYs, and Admissions Marketing Report Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. His Stamats clients have included Furman University, St. Olaf College, Villanova University, Harvard Medical School, and many others.

 


Becky MorehouseBecky Morehouse studied business as an undergrad at the University of Northern Iowa. She received her Master's in higher education administration at the University of Iowa and is completing her doctorate at the U of I as well. Before joining Stamats in 1991, Becky developed her research skills at a marketing research firm. It was there she learned the fine arts of focus group moderation, data analysis, and cross-country travel. Becky's long and varied experience as both an analyst and a consultant provides a rich Foundation and perspective that help Stamats' clients understand and appreciate the value of research.

 

 


Nicole OConnellNicole O'Connell is Director of Marketing at Loyola University Chicago (LUC) where, since 2006, she has directed the strategic development of marketing and communications plans for Enrollment Management. She oversees advertising placement, creative development, and implementation of overall communications plans across various platforms and media to attract new students to undergraduate, graduate, and continuing studies programs. She also guides the enrollment marketing efforts of academic units throughout the university. Her recent initiatives include a significant brand revision for undergraduate enrollment, the development of a new enrollment website, and the rollout of a multi-tiered social media platform customized for various target audiences. Previous to LUC, Nicole honed her extensive marketing, development, and higher education expertise at The Rotary Foundation, Marquette University, and Westwood College. Nicole holds a B.S. in economics from Marquette University.

 

 


Chuck ReedChuck Reed, vice president for client services at Stamats, has worked in higher education for more than 20 years, including positions as coordinator of admissions for Peru State College and director of media relations for Nebraska Wesleyan University. He earned a bachelors degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he worked as an admission ambassador for four years and learned firsthand about the roller coaster ride that is being a regional public university.At Stamats, Chuck was a writer and editor for nearly five years before becoming a client executive. His clients range from selective private colleges to regional publics and two-year institutions nationally, and his projects have won several CASE Gold and other awards. He frequently presents at CASE conferences and other professional workshops.

 


Jim ReillyJim Reilly is senior marketing consultant at Stamats. He has worked with more than 100 colleges and universities on research and consulting projects that include recruitment, communication, image, and branding analyses and development. He has helped numerous institutions increase enrollment, implement research programs, and create effective brands. Jim's background includes 14 years of private college admissions experience, including nine years at Dickinson College where he was responsible for new staff training, publications, student search, alumni admissions, and developing regional recruitment receptions, as well as five years as dean of admissions at Ripon College in Wisconsin where he coordinated all aspects of the admissions operation. He holds a B.A. in English from Dickinson College.

 


Bob SevierDr. Robert A. Sevier is senior vice president for strategy at Stamats. He has more than 25 years of leadership experience in strategic thinking and planning, integrated and brand marketing, market research, and student recruiting, and his work has been featured at hundreds of professional conferences as well as in higher education's marketing publications, including Currents, Journal of College Admissions, Admissions Strategist, University Business, and College & University. He holds a Ph.D. in policy analysis and higher education administration from The Ohio State University, and he has authored seven books on integrated marketing, brand marketing, innovation, and strategic planning. He has taught and worked as an administrator at The Ohio State University, Denison University, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and Oregon Health Sciences University.

 

 


Julie StaggsJulie Staggs has worked in Higher Ed and with Higher Ed for over 15 years. Working in Higher Ed, she served both as an admissions counselor and as the Performing Arts Director of a liberal arts women's college. As a partner with Higher Ed, she spent 10 years at Pearson Education working with faculty and state consortia with a special focus in online and blended learning, helping institutions to build programs that met both market needs and growth goals. Her work with corporate training and consulting with Fortune 100 companies brings an extensive understanding of how to develop tactics to drive strategic plans that result in exceeding growth targets. Julie holds a BMus from Converse College and an Executive MBA with a focus on Leadership from University of Georgia.
